Some creative soul (with a little too much time on their hands) decided that the fire hydrants around town were much to plain for their taste, so they
preceded to spruce them up a bit. These are just a few, but believe me, there were many, MANY more and all had a different theme. This person (or people?) had all of their bases covered.....there was a Purple Falcon for the University, an Orange and Blue Bulldog for the high school, Crimson and White for the Tide, an Orange and Blue Tiger,
Dalmatian across the street from the fire dept, and the list goes on and on. I have to say that this is a brilliant idea! It makes me smile every time I pass one by.
